Volunteer firefighters with the Jefferson Fire District are involved in all aspects of firefighting, from structural, vehicular, to grass and wildland fires. Volunteer fire fighters train to become Emergency Medical Technicians, Apparatus Operators, Rescue Technicians and Fire Company Officers.

Med Disposal
Don’t dump it down the drain or throw it in the trash. Safe disposal options for controlled substances, such as unused medications, narcotics, cannabis, and precursors, play essential role in complying with government regulations and protecting our communities and environment.
We have partnered with Covanta Environmental Solutions to provide a free disposal program.
Come to the fire station and pick up a prepaid envelope that features a federally compliant liner. Take as many as you need based on the amount to be disposed. Drop the medication in the pouch seal it up, drop in the mail or we can mail it for you, and you are done.
